Osaka, April 9-11– The 40th Japan AFF Asia Textile & Apparel Fair, hosted by Japan AFF Co., Ltd. and co-organized by the Japan-China Economic and Trade Center, was successfully held at the MYDOME Exhibition Hall in Osaka. Distinguished guests including H.E. Xue Jian, Consul General of the Chinese Consulate in Osaka; Mr. Yuan Fei, Chairman of China Textile Group; and Mr. Ikeda Minoru, Chairman of the Japan-China Economic and Trade Center, attended the exhibition and related events. The Yantai Council for the Promotion of International Trade (Yantai CCPIT) organized 12 local enterprises to participate, setting up 14 standard booths and achieving notable success.

As the 40th edition since its inception in 2003, the fair has evolved over two decades of dedicated refinement and innovation into a premier platform fostering in-depth exchanges and business collaboration between the Chinese and Japanese textile and apparel industries. This year's event featured 371 exhibitors across 422 booths, attracting 4,854 professional buyers. Representatives from leading Japanese trading companies such as Toyoshima & Co., Ltd. and Chori Co., Ltd. engaged in onsite negotiations, while industry media, fashion magazines, and international broadcasters covered the event, drawing widespread attention from global textile and fashion circles.

Yantai CCPIT has consistently organized local enterprises to participate in the AFF fair for 18 consecutive years, maintaining a strong partnership with the organizer and assisting nearly 200 Yantai textile and apparel companies in successfully entering, consolidating, and expanding their presence in the Japanese market. This year, Yantai exhibitors showcased nearly 800 product lines, including knitwear, denim, casual wear, and knitted underwear. Notably, nine member companies of the Haiyang Knitwear Association participated as a group once again, with Haiyang’s cluster-based knitwear industry and its innovative ‘whole-garment’ knitting technology attracting significant buyer interest.

In recognition of its long-standing support and leadership in facilitating Yantai’s participation, Yantai CCPIT was honored with ‘the Industry Leadership Award’, while Yantai Cherry Group Co., Ltd. received ‘the Most Influential Brand Award’ and the Haiyang Knitwear Association was presented with ‘the Industry Pioneer Enterprise Award’ by the organizer.
